Q1. Why did you choose design as a career ?
Since childhood, I have observed myself being into very creative thoughts and ideas. I love putting efforts in the traditional crafts turning them into very unique and innovative products. In my early teens, I decided to pursue it as my career.
Q2. Where do you visualise yourself five years from now?
I believe in the thought “One Should Stay Connected To Their Roots”. I want to explore more of the traditional craft sector of Textiles in India and looking forward to work with the NGOs and SHGs , motivating the denizens of the country.
Q3. Whom do you consider your mentor/Guru and why
Since very long, I have been working with the artisans and craftspersons in the different parts of the country. I would like to show my gratitude to the BANASTHALI VIDYAPEETH who has always promoted the traditional hand-woven textiles in their daily lives.
Q4. What is the basic theme of your designing and why?
Traditional woven designs are always an inspiration for my work. The different traditional crafts cover a vast area to learn and work upon.

Myself, Ayushi Rastogi, specialized in Textile Design From BANASTHALI VIDYAPEETH. I belong to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. I love to work on various handloom weave explorations for Home Textiles as well as Apparels.
