Q1. Why did you choose design as a career ?
I can design my life. One of the most valuable aspects of pursuing a career in design is the ability to create my own path.Freedom to express creativity make a lot of people wanting to be a fashion designer. For me I became one cos there are a lot of thing I will like to change about clothing and design. At a point I don’t like what I get from my local tailor and something in me kept pushing that there is more to do in creating a better outfit for people so I decided to try it out.
Q2. Where do you visualise yourself five years from now?
No one knows where they will be in five years,I’d like to expand my horizons by jumping in feet first and learning as much as I can, as quickly as I can, with the organization. From there, I’d seek out opportunities — at least one to two a year — to expand my knowledge
Q3. Whom do you consider your mentor/Guru and why?
The time i started my career in fashion industry , i always followed Sabyasachi Mukherjee as my Guru..When you imagine Sabyasachi, one assumes saree, and that is how firmly the two are correlated and have been for many years in Indian custom. Sabyasachi’s artistic vision has reshaped and revamped old Indian outfits which have flown to great extents while staying rooted in all the essential beauty and culture that India has to contribute in the sphere of fashion.Sabyasachi’s designs are the patterns of the history, present, and the future, and that’s what makes him one of the preeminent contemporary Indian designers.
Q4. What is the basic theme of your designing and why?
The basic theme of my designs are completely ethnic with a trendy touch…I have also defined it with the tag line “Be Trendy , Traditionally”.I’m soo into indian touch, that all of my designs maybe sometimes western with the client demands but then too somewhere those Designs carrys ethnic touch.
Q5. Write your autobiography ?
I started my career after my 12th in 2015, was not even sure that time about taking fashion Designing as my career..Once I started with it, I realised that I’m in love with creating new things with soo many ideas.. as years passed , I got cleared that I can do much better in this field..After my Fashion Designing , I started my own brand with the name of “Dholamaru” with a tag line “Be Trendy, Traditionally” ..I got all the motivation for my brand from the one I consider my Guru “Sabyasachi Mukherjee”.It’s being 4 years I’m running my brand , and doing job in fashion industry to fund my brand nd too learn alot from this fashion industry…Fashion industry is like ocean full of opportunities nd knowledge, the more you swim into it , the more you get better , there’s noo end of collecting knowledge nd shaping yourself better for the ever changing world..
