Q1. Why did you choose design as a career ?
I have always loved to create and my interest towards craft has always been immense. From my childhood I used to make things out of wood, clay and bamboo.I was interested in the mechanism of my toys and every working model brought a curiosity in me.
Q2. Where do you visualise yourself five years from now?
I see myself having an organisation of my own .
Q3. Whom do you consider your mentor/Guru and why?
The person/ Guru I have always looked up to is my teacher from college days. She has been constant support and a role model to me . She taught me new things about design. The most important thing which inspired me was the love and passion she had for design and her work .She is so passionate about the work that she have a museum inside her house where you can see her work and prototype of her father too. Her father also had a great impact on me and got to learn from him as well.
Q4. What is the basic theme of your designing and why?
I never stick to a single theme or pattern of design . As the trend changes its effects the design . The basic motto I have is utility and usability. Geometric shapes, abstract , nature and architecture influence me a lot.
Q5. Write your autobiography ?
I spent my childhood in a small town Sahibganj. My family always saw an engineer in me but I knew I had a different path to follow I got to know designing college NIFT and did my graduation from the same . I never won a single prize throughout my schooling but I won 12 prizes during my college for events like junk art ,fashion show, 3rd prize in state level craft competition etc. I worked in Hitaishi kk as I was always interested in wooden handicraft . My future goal is to have my own organisation and my dream house .
