Q1. Why did you choose design as a career ?

We human beings are always the source of problem. It is a fact. Why so? Because of the way our mind works. We tend to find the problem or glitches in executing a work or things we see. As long as there is problem we are unsettled until and unless fixing it to the perfection. And designing the solution is how we can fix a problem or glitch. It is the wakeup call of the mind that has driven me to choose design as a career.

Q2. Where do you visualise yourself five years from now?

Progress is inevitable if we take each step consciously. Each day would be motivating and inspiring if at least small recognition or reward is there in the table. But in a larger perspective all those can be skipped if we are dedicated creating something phenomenal for the planet and people. In the coming five years I am dedicated towards creating ethical and functional design methods for the way we execute high fashion.

Q3. Whom do you consider your mentor/Guru and why?

If we see a lane down the Creator’s den then obviously there would be not one but several people or may be things or incidents that have inspired them to progress. Well for me also it works the same way. The way a single life is designed in this cosmos, how they are born, how they live and how they die. Everything is different from one and the other. The way creator has created this creation, has always been the best source of motivation for me and the greatest mentor for every living and non-living beings.

Q4. What is the basic theme of your designing and why?

The basic thing you would find in each of my design is uniqueness of its execution and similarity of its obliteration. And why is so? The way I perceive the cosmos as life or the way I contain the creation within myself has influenced I many ways and enhanced my sense of designing.

Q5. Write your autobiography ?

Born and brought up in a place, where people were striving to get foods for two time a day is the most important thing, luxury or fashion stood less than equal to no role for me. Somehow art retained the medium of expression that led me stand apart from the crowd. Well every single life on the planet tries to find expression. That’s what my curiosity towards art did, found the expression in form of fashion .During my bachelor’s people knew me as a designer rather than an engineer due to my constant involvement and recognition as a costume designer for NIFT, SYMBIOSIS, many other  colleges & art/film festivals. I used to choreograph and design costumes for their annual festivals. But studying in a fashion college may lead you to earn a living by following your passion, the typical mindset. Well then started applying several colleges in India and outside also. Got offers from reputed colleges like London College of Fashion, Istituto Marangoni , Polimoda , MMU etc. But question was are those affordable? A big no. But we are designers, finding the solution is what we do. Isn’t it? Then I joined JD INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY. With the curriculum and friendly faculties learning fashion design was a great journey. After completion interned under one of the leading designers in the industry like NIDA MAHMOOD, YELL a casual wear brand. Now I am successfully creating luxury fashion for label SHWETA AGGARWAL. In coming years I aim to launch my own fashion label based on technology, sustainability, recycled yet chic.
