Q1. Why did you choose design as a career ?
I have always been a curious one. I also loved making things around me look better. These two traits of mine met and eventually, I got introduced to fashion design as a career. Since that moment, I couldn’t stop myself to be a part of it’s colossal industry and exhibit my skills.Choosing this as my career and being a fashion student now in NIFT, I believe, are just my baby steps & I have miles to go.
Q2. Where do you visualise yourself five years from now?
In five years, I would be still in my experience gaining period & I know it would never end because there is so much to learn and explore. I believe I would be capable enough then to take more challenges & responsibilities. Thereafter, once I get myself all ready, sure & confident, I want to have my own label.
Q3. Whom do you consider your mentor/Guru and why
For me, it was never a single person. People & nature around me have been always showering immense knowledge to me. I observe them, listen to them & understand them. Each and everything teaches us something or the other. So, I find this process very exciting and it is what inspires me & motivates me to grasp more and more and not to settle and get the best out of myself.
Q4. What is the basic theme of your designing and why?
Being an Indian, I am aware how versatile our cultures & traditions are. So is my design idea. I always look forward to designing Fusion wear. I love to mix and match and amalgamate various styles, crafts and cultures & come up with the best version of it’s contemporary style and also reflect it’s individual authenticity.
Q5. Write your autobiography ?
As of now, my autobiography is incomplete. I am still in the process of crafting my career with knowledge, experience & personality. So, I would like to reach my life goals to narrate you the best one.
